Wireless Access Point Installation and Wi-Fi Cabling

Most Wi-Fi complaints are not a Wi-Fi problem. They are a placement problem, a cabling problem, or a density problem. Three access points evenly spaced down a hallway looks tidy on paper and still leaves the corner conference room dead.

We place access points based on your floor plan, construction materials, and where people and devices actually cluster, then run cable that can feed them. Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 units in particular can outrun what an old Cat5e drop and an underpowered switch will deliver.

Cat6A drops and PoE budget

Cabling sized for multi gig uplinks and PoE+ or PoE++ draw, with switch capacity checked so the last AP on the panel still powers up.

Mounting and aesthetics

Ceiling tile, hard lid, and wall mounts done cleanly, with cable concealed and mounts that will not sag in a hot ceiling.

Dead zone remediation

On existing networks we survey, find the gaps, and add or relocate APs rather than selling a full replacement you may not need.

Questions we get

Why is my Wi-Fi slow in one room?

Usually the access point is too far away, blocked by something dense like a masonry wall or a metal rack, or overloaded because too many devices share one radio. A short survey identifies which of those it is, and the fix is often one added AP rather than replacing the system.

Do I need Cat6A for access points?

For Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7, yes in practice. Those units can push past 1Gb and draw more power, and Cat6A gives you multi gig headroom and better PoE performance. Running Cat5e to a new AP is a common way to cap a brand new system on day one.

How many access points does a warehouse need?

Far more than square footage math suggests, because racking absorbs and reflects signal. Aisle geometry drives the answer. We plan for coverage down every aisle at handheld height, not just open floor coverage from the ceiling.

Can you work with our existing Ubiquiti or Meraki gear?

Yes. We install and cable for whatever platform you have standardized on, and we work alongside your IT provider on configuration if that is how you are set up.
