VoIP moves the phone system onto the same cabling as everything else, which is simpler until the cabling was never built for it. Old two pair voice wiring, daisy chained jacks, and switches without enough PoE budget are where most bad VoIP deployments actually start.
We prepare the plant before your phone vendor shows up. That means a proper Cat6 drop per phone, PoE headroom at the switch, a documented panel so a dead phone traces in seconds, and a cutover window that lands outside your call volume.

Old 66 and 110 blocks removed or retired, new terminations landed on panels, and the closet returned to something documented.

Cut on your schedule, with the old system live until the new one answers, so you are never between phone systems during business hours.

Questions we get
Can I reuse my existing phone wiring for VoIP?
Sometimes, but usually not fully. Older voice wiring is often two pair, daisy chained, or terminated on 66 blocks that will not support a data grade connection. We test the existing runs, tell you which ones pass, and only quote replacement for the ones that fail.
Do I need one drop per phone if the phone has a pass through port?
Most handsets have a pass through port so a computer can share the drop, and that works. It also means a phone reboot takes the computer with it, and it caps you at whatever the phone switch chip supports. For desks that matter, a dedicated drop is worth it.
What about fire alarm and elevator lines?
Those stay analog. We identify and preserve POTS lines for fire panels, elevators, and alarm dialers during the cutover so you do not fail an inspection after a phone upgrade.
Do you work with my VoIP provider?
Yes. We handle the physical layer and coordinate the cutover date with whoever is provisioning the handsets, whether that is RingCentral, 8x8, Teams Phone, or a local provider.
