Low Voltage for Construction and Tenant Improvements

On a build out, low voltage is the trade that gets scheduled last and blamed first. The fix is sequencing: closet location and pathways decided during design, rough-in after framing, overhead runs before ceiling tile, terminations after paint, and testing before occupancy.

We work as the low voltage sub on tenant improvements and ground-up commercial projects across the valley, coordinating with the GC, the electrician, and the ceiling and furniture trades so cabling never becomes the reason drywall waits.

What this work looks like

Cabling built for construction & tenant improvements

Design-phase coordination

Closet location, tray and sleeve placement, and firestop planned with the GC before walls close, which is when those decisions are cheap.

Rough-in and pull

Boxes, pathways, and cable in the walls at the right point in the framing sequence, inspected and photographed before drywall.

Finish and closet build

Terminations, faceplates, rack build, and dressing after finishes, matched to the documented labeling scheme.

Test, verify, and close out

Every port tested and verified with results delivered in the closeout package, ready for the punch walk.

Common questions

Construction & Tenant Improvements questions we hear first

When should low voltage get involved in the project?

During design, before drywall is even on the schedule. The expensive cabling mistakes on a TI are all sequencing mistakes, and every one of them is avoidable in a thirty minute coordination meeting.

Do you carry the insurance and paperwork GCs require?

Yes. We are a licensed, bonded, and insured Arizona cable contractor and we handle the certificates, badging, and safety documentation general contractors and property managers ask for.
