How many cameras do I need?
It depends on what you need to prove rather than square footage. Entry and exit points, the register or cash handling area, the dock, and any known problem spot come first. A short site visit usually turns a vague number into a specific list.
Can I view the cameras from my phone?
Yes. We configure mobile and desktop apps, set up user accounts with appropriate permissions, and show your team how to scrub back and export a clip you can hand to law enforcement.
Does a camera system need its own network?
Not necessarily, but cameras should be isolated on their own VLAN. It keeps camera traffic off your business network and reduces the attack surface, since consumer grade cameras are a common way into a network.
Will heat be a problem for outdoor cameras in Phoenix?
Direct sun on a west facing wall in July is brutal on electronics. We use cameras rated for the range, add sun shields where needed, and mount junction boxes so they are not baking against the wall. Cable selection matters too, since standard PVC jacketed cable degrades in UV.
